I have been point creative to help push how we can tell different types of editorial content. Also at times working with other partners such as our Target Finds Product and Content Management teams to push ideas and new features forward.
Influencer Blog Content
For a couple years we have created stories that focused on trends, ideas and spotlights on individuals. We had created stories featuring our influencers in our regular story structure with the focus being product with just enough copy to get the idea of the theme through. Our influencers write so much more, so I started to figure out a way to to have more of a blog within out Finds structure. It was all about finding the right balance between lifestyle images, product images, large text and smaller text with just a splash of color throughout.
Fave Five
Fave Five’s publish once or twice per season. I came up with this layout to highlight the five products while highlighting some of out user images as well as pairing the product with another. We made this the template for all Fave Five’s making these stories easier for the designer and copywriters to execute.
Collections
I worked with our Target Finds product team and other partners to help figure out what a collection is as well as the visually direction. Collections are very tight curations around a single idea or trend such as the cozy corner below. The thought on design direction was to keep it as simple as possible to put together so that these can be executed much faster than all of our other content. Most of these curations come from other internal Target teams making the process more efficient for out content team.
Let’s Target
Let’s Target is a Youtube series produced by our style team featuring a group of our influencers and other personalities brought in for these video. I was tasked with creating the destinations for these videos. These are more of a hybrid between collections and a fuller story to elevate the series while also keeping it simpler to execute for the five videos that were produced.
