My journey with this project started in 2016 when myself and Karl (copywriter) pitched the idea to tell cross category cultural, seasonal and trend focused stories through product curation. Somehow we got the green light to try a few stories that we called Target Finds Editions. After the first few we started to recruit curators interested in the topic to help with the stories and to enforce that these editions had a point of view from real people at Target (they were given credit at the bottom of each story). The Editions gained traction and we ended up curating and creating 46 Editions before we merged with another team working on a platform that was focusing on UGC (user generated content) and telling stories with UGC. These new edition like stories on the new platform had a different format, but with the same idea.

Some of the Editions 2016-2018

Eighties Things

With the anticipated Stranger Things series about to launch, we took a very Findsy twist with our story. We structured it as a day in the life of high school, supported by 80’s classics along with current 80’s looking appeal.

The Upside Down

The bonus halfway through the story is a telephone. If you answered it it would take you to the darker upside down version with all of the products upside down.

Mama always Said

Our spin on a mothers day gifting story. We reached out to our studio for quotes that their mom’s had said. I made those into post cards with custom type to support the saying and put them next to a carousel full of mostly giftable items for mom.

Holiday Travel

There are many ways to travel during the holidays. We featured various packs and suitcases for everyone. Clicking on the button would open a drawer full of product that would be packed into that pack or suitcase. Also featuring solutions for car and air travel.

The Findsy Awards

Award season was approaching so we turned the spotlight on products that we sell.

#Goals

New years was here, so we turned our attention to #Goals. I love this one for the simplicity of graphic setup as well as the curators section at the bottom.
